To play as an injured or suspended player, go to the Setup option in the preview screen before a match, then click the Call Up option. From there, select the name of the injured or suspended player you want from the box on the left, click the Squad button, and then choose who you want to replace in the active team.
You'll need to do this for every match until the chosen player recovers from injury or is removed from suspension.
